Bates Beach Party and Memorial

Location: Santa Barbara / Ventura County Line

We will begin the day in the Pavillion at the top of the trail with a Memorial tribute to our Bates Beach “Mom”, Sonya Robinson. Anyone that knew Sonya is welcome to say a few words in her memory. After we have lunch, those of you who wish can go down to the clothing optional section and continue the festivities. Bring your own chairs, bathing suits, and sunscreen and make a day of it. Remember that the anti-nudity law remains in effect even though we have a verbal assurance that we will not be bothered by law enforcement if we follow our behavior guidelines. People removing their swimsuits do so at their own risk. Go as bare as you dare! Your decision your choice!
